Supercount AI is an AI-native productivity suite for accountants and financial statement preparers, developed by the Linz-based startup Supercount AI FlexCo. Due to a technological breakthrough in generative artificial intelligence—particularly with large language models (LLMs) and computer vision—it has become possible, especially since 2025, to reliably and fully automate large parts of accounting with very low error tolerance. Individual, specialized AI modules assist human professionals such as digital junior associates. For instance, the AI superpower for document accounting can automatically read (paper) documents, apply rules for tax and currency calculations, and create accurate journal entries that only need to be approved by a human expert. The modules are complemented by user interfaces that, if necessary, enable comprehensive human post-processing. The solution significantly increases efficiency as a supplement to existing systems such as BMD.
